Protected: What to Bring to Your First Meeting
Your first meeting with your personal injury lawyer is one of the most important meetings you will have about your claim. At Burnetti, P.A. our attorneys will put you at ease, and help guide you through the difficult times that you may be facing.
Personal injury cases often involve a great deal of investigation and detail to prove a claim. When meeting with your attorney, be prepared to provide them with the details about the incident, and bring the following information to your meeting:
- Medical and all other expenses (please itemize on attached sheet and attach bills or receipts)
- Record of nursing services and time
- Copies of W-2 forms and tax returns for the past three years
- Bills or receipts for property damage losses
- All insurance policies (to be copied)
- Record of any insurance payments
- Birth certificates of any minor children
- Marriage license
- Diplomas, awards, certificates of accomplishment, or evidence of any kind of achievement
- Social Security card (to be copied)
- Medicare/Medicaid card (to be copied)
Wrongful Death Claim
- Death Certificate
- Pictures of the decedent during lifetime
- Funeral bills
